At The Family Room, we think that shopping small and shopping local is the way to go! We specialize in sourcing Laytonsville and Maryland themed goods that are perfect for gifts and for your own home. From glassware to wood signs to hats, we try to provide unique offerings of locally themed products.
Along with our local gifts we offer locally sourced food and beverages at the shop. Our coffee is from Quartermaine Roasters (Rockville, MD), our honey is from Maryland Honey Company (Etchison, MD), our BBQ sauce is from P&R Farms (Ijamsville, MD), our kombucha is from Mobtown Fermentation (Baltimore, MD) and our hummus is from Hippy Chick Hummus (Frederick, MD). We love knowing that what you are enjoying at the shop is helping grow our local economy and helping support families all around our area!
We are excited to announce that are offerings from South Mountain Creamery have grown! In addition to delicious and creamy ice cream, we now offer salads, soups-to-go, yogurt, and cheese from our favorite Maryland dairy farm. We can't wait for you all to enjoy these new locally sourced, healthy, and delicous products. We are always changing and growing at The Family Room, so be on the look out for new items popping up soon at our little shop!
Our Farmer's Market is right around the corner and we can't wait to show you all the local makers and vendors that will be joining us this year. We love supporting other small businesses in the area and our Market days are some of our favorite of the year!
